Systems Performance Review

A vendor-neutral review of the building, energy and asset systems that should be delivering control, efficiency, resilience and commercial performance.

What changes after this review

  • A clear view of what is performing, what is underperforming and where the evidence sits.
  • Root causes separated from symptoms, maintenance activity and supplier narrative.
  • A practical route to improve performance without committing blindly to more technology or spend.

Is this right for you?

This is the right service if...

01

Facilities, energy or asset teams that suspect BMS, EMS, PV, BESS, generators, EV charging, IoT and sensor infrastructure or control systems are not performing as expected.

02

Organisations that cannot reconcile supplier claims, dashboards, bills, alarms or asset behaviour with what is happening on site.

03

Asset owners preparing for optimisation, replacement, contract renewal, re-procurement or supplier challenge.

Common questions

Before you get in touch

Which systems can be included?

Typical scope includes BMS, EMS, solar PV, BESS, generators, EV charging, metering, grid import/export infrastructure, control platforms, IoT and connected sensor infrastructure and related monitoring tools.

Is this platform-specific?

No. The review is technology-agnostic. We assess operational outcomes, data evidence, control strategy and commercial impact rather than vendor compliance.

What access do you need to carry out the review?

Access requirements depend on scope. For remote-only reviews, exports, trend data, alarm logs, documentation and remote platform access are usually sufficient. Site visits add direct system inspection. We confirm access needs at scoping stage.

Can you review a system while it is live and occupied?

Yes. The review is diagnostic and observational. We do not adjust live control strategies, setpoints or schedules without explicit instruction. Occupied operation is not a constraint.

What happens to the evidence after the review is complete?

All evidence gathered, including data exports, logs and configuration records, is retained securely for the agreed period and returned or deleted at engagement close in line with our standard data handling terms. We do not share client evidence with third parties.

How long does a typical systems performance review take?

Initial Reviews are typically one to two weeks. Structured Reviews are two to four weeks. Deep Investigations covering multiple systems, sites or contested issues are four to ten weeks. Scope complexity determines timeline, not the number of systems.

Do you work with any BMS or EMS platform?

Yes. The review is vendor-neutral. We have direct experience with Trend, Tridium, RDM, Distech, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Schneider and proprietary energy management platforms, but the review approach applies regardless of platform.

Ready to find out what's really happening with your systems performance review?

Describe your situation. We'll tell you whether this is the right starting point and what a useful scope looks like.
