Supplier delivery and independent verification

Technical Delivery Assurance

An independent technical verdict on what a supplier has delivered, whether systems have been commissioned correctly, and whether further recommended spend is justified.

What changes after this review

  • A defensible technical position on whether delivery matches what was specified and sold.
  • Clear identification of gaps, impact and responsibility for resolution.
  • An evidence base for supplier conversations, contract negotiations or formal challenge.

Common questions

Before you get in touch

Is this the same as a commissioning witness?

No. This review can assess a completed installation independently after issues have emerged, producing a technical verdict based on evidence rather than witnessed test completion.

Can this help avoid unnecessary capital expenditure?

Yes. A common outcome is clarifying whether proposed replacement or upgrade work is technically justified, commercially motivated, or avoidable through remediation.

When in a project should we bring you in?

As early as possible. Pre-commissioning review catches specification gaps and configuration errors before they become contractual disputes. Post-handover review is still valuable where issues have emerged or sign-off was accepted without independent scrutiny.

What if the contractor is doing the right thing, do you say so?

Yes. A clean technical verdict is a finding too. If the evidence supports the contractor's position, we say so clearly. The value of an independent review is that it is not weighted towards any outcome.

Can you review a proposal before we commit?

Yes. Proposal review is within scope: we assess whether the technical justification holds, whether the scope matches the stated problem and whether the commercial structure is consistent with what is being offered.

What evidence do you need to assess a commissioning claim?

Commissioning records, O&M documentation, as-built drawings, point lists, control strategies, setpoint schedules and relevant trend or alarm data are the starting point. Missing documentation is itself a finding. We work with what exists and flag gaps explicitly.

Does this replace the commissioning engineer's role?

No. The commissioning engineer witnesses and records test results. This review independently assesses whether those results reflect actual system behaviour and whether the delivered state matches the specification. The roles are complementary, not interchangeable.

Ready to find out what the evidence actually shows about your next technical commitment?

Describe your situation. We'll tell you whether this is the right starting point and what a useful scope looks like.
